I’m a bit of an odd guy. I’m passionate about human resource management, but I also enjoy modern technology. Writing and coding is where I really relax. I also like to stretch my brain a little differently than thinking about people. Exact processes have their own charm.
I have worked my way through many positions in human resources management. Like almost everyone else, I started in recruitment and then moved into HR project management. And finally, I was really in the compensation and benefits field for many years, where I learned how to think about people in Excel. Finally, I became a Chief Human Resources Officer.
Partly out of boredom, partly out of curiosity, I decided to see if I could create a website that would attract 10,000 visitors a day. And I’m still a long way from that, but this site is about my progress and how I’m working with my personal SEO dashboard on my way to my dream goal.
My web project is simple. It focuses on modern trends in HR management, describes the basic processes and in general how an HR manager works. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but it provides a basic orientation to the field.
It’s just that there is a lot of competition and you need to find the right topics and keywords that work. However, I don’t want to pay for complicated SEO tools, which are also bloody expensive. I want to keep things low-cost. And I also want to own my data. I don’t want to share it with someone who will resell it.
Fortunately, Google isn’t completely stingy. Google Search Console provides some data on what keywords are working and how they’re working. It’s not quite the same, but it’s workable. I don’t like to shoot blindly, so I’ve made do. With a bit of effort and thinking about it, I found my way to my target.
I wrote a simple SEO tool to help me find my personal golden nuggets along the way to my goal.
And if anyone would like, they can buy it for 89€. You can buy it here.
I wish good luck to anyone who decides to take a similar path.
